Previous Conference: BACG2026
55th Annual BACG Conference: 29th June – 1st July
The BACG Annual Conference is a key event for the global crystallisation community, that brought together enthusiastic scientists, engineers and scientific leaders from academia, industry, and research organisations. The conference showcased the latest developments across nucleation, crystal growth, crystallisation engineering, and advanced characterisation of crystalline materials, offering a focused yet friendly forum for sharing knowledge and ideas.
With a carefully curated scientific programme and dedicated spaces for interaction, the meeting provided valuable opportunities to connect, collaborate, and support the continued growth of the crystallisation community.
The event took place at the University of Manchester, with the Welcome Reception taking place at the fantastic Christies Bistro, and the Conference Dinner at the incredible Manchester Museum (drinks in the Fossils and Dinosaurs Gallery followed by dinner in the Living Worlds Gallery).
The format of the 2026 Annual Conference was:
- 29th June: Early Career Researchers
- Day 30th June & 1st July: Main Conference
